World Languages & English New Language (ENL)

The World Language and ENL (English as a New Language) Department at Roslyn Middle School is dedicated to fostering communication, cultural understanding, and global awareness. Students have the opportunity to begin their study of world languages—building foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while also exploring the customs, traditions, and perspectives of different cultures.  We proudly offer courses in Spanish, French, and Chinese, providing students with the linguistic and cultural tools to engage meaningfully in our interconnected world.

For multilingual learners, the ENL program provides individualized support to help students strengthen their English language proficiency and thrive in all academic areas. Both programs aim to empower students as confident communicators and respectful global citizens in an increasingly connected world.
